Heather Stevenson is the General Counsel at Red Cell and its incubations, including Trase. She joins from her position as Vice President & Deputy General Counsel at Boston Globe Media Partners, where she served as a strategic partner to all departments and publications across the company, advising on a wide range of intellectual property, commercial, and other legal matters that arise in the rapidly evolving media industry.
Heather is an experienced legal and strategic advisor, who combines her legal knowledge and background with a deep understanding of, and curiosity about, the businesses she advises, in order to provide guidance that drives progress towards business goals, while mitigating legal risk. She has a proven track record of working with business units and cross-functional teams to successfully negotiate complex intellectual property transactions, create and launch new products in a legally compliant way, and to minimize litigation and compliance risk.
Early in her legal career, Heather was a litigation associate in Sullivan & Cromwell’s New York offices, representing global financial institutions in complex, high-stakes litigation matters. She also founded and operated Thirst Juice Co., a plant-based juice and smoothie business with locations in the Boston area.
Heather holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, an LL.M. from the University of Amsterdam, and a BA from Columbia University
